The "Kaira" would make a good skinning tool or light camp knife. This knife comes with a fine whittling edge. The handle has a brass bolster and the tang in peened at the butt end. The sheath has a belt loop. This item is quite comfortable in the hand

Wonderful knife, blade size is great, great handle shape and profile as well. This was for my wife and she loves it, it fits her medium and my larger hands well too.
I buffed this example out a little, and worked in blended lanolin. If it were to primarily be used in the wet we would of left it alone.

To begin with, the handle fills your hand and its shape makes it difficult for your hand to slip down on the blade. No shiny finish, so no slip. Just a good solid grip. The blade is short, but wide, very sharp and good for carving, whittling, and general use. It comes with a solid sheath too. I’m really enjoying this knife.
