This Kauhavan Puukkopaja General Knife is sure a great fitting knife the average sized hand. The blade is made of high carbon steel. The tang goes through the handle and is peened over on the pommel. The handle is made out of stained curly birch with a brass ferrule. The Brown Leather Sheath comes with a dangler style belt loop that would fit up to a 2" belt. It makes for a great lightweight tool carried on your belt

Great knife and excellent value

I have come to appreciate Scandinavian style knives, and own several Mora knives dating from the 1950’s through the current Classics. The Kauhavan Puukkopaja has a carved handle that’s more secure in the hand than morakniv’s barrel handles, a peened over tang, and a nice leather sheath with a hard plastic liner. I’m not saying Moras are inferior at all, but for just $15 more this knife is a really nice upgrade. I’ve also been completely satisfied with every order from Ragweed Forge.
