I've been buying knives for over 35 years and NEVER have I found better customer service than I have at Ragweed Forge.
If I want a knife and Ragweed Forge has it, I buy if from them. Although Redbeard (Owner) price matches, I don't usually shop around because I trust Redbeard enough to know his prices are reasonable. Besides, if anything goes wrong, I can call and the guy who picks up the phone IS THE OWNER! He answers questions, handles problems and quality checks every single order before it goes out the door.
Redbeard can answer questions, educate, and help you find a knife that will fit your needs. He's met with most of the knife makers he represents so he has firsthand knowledge of how those knives are made.
All in all, there's just no beating Ragweed Forge in terms of knowledge, trust, customer service and quality products.
I made this knife for my partner for Christmas this year and it turned out beautifully. The knife blanks and bolsters I ordered were a very high quality and fit together with minimal effort. Items were shipped very quickly. Redbeard was quick to respond and informative when I needed some help. Highly recommend this shop
Ragweed Forge is a great place to get knife building supplies. Customer service is awesome! I built my first knife with a Helle knife blade and Bocote wood from Ragweed Forge. I'll definitely continue to order from Ragweed Forge!
Recently, I passed on very particular knife due to some more pressing obligations. Sometimes, you just KNOW a knife feels right and it's "yours". When telling Redbeard this story, he graciously offered to help me find one for the Christmas season. I originally declined as my heart was set on this exact one, in which I was sure it was now destined for someone else. Low and behold an opportunity presented itself for this one! I asked Redbeard if the offer still stood and if he could procure it as I could not directly. He went to work and was able to work his EXCEPTIONAL customer service magic to make it happen. I received the knife from him today and absolutely love it.
For years I have been a loyal and extremely happy customer of Redbeard and Ragweed Forge and have had the pleasure and HONOR to call him a friend. THIS is why. He truly cares about his customers and goes out of his way for them. I have raved about his business for years and love him being my primary procurer of shiny, pointy things.
