The story of HMK began years earlier, when founder and master blacksmith Thomas Rönnberg made his first knife sometime between 2005 and 2007. What started as a singular creation became the beginning of a lifelong passion. Over the following years, Thomas explored the rich tapestry of knife-making cultures across the world. This journey shaped the vision for HMK: to honor traditional construction methods, some of which date back thousands of years, while reimagining them for the modern era.
