The Morakniv Eldris is a pocket size fixed blade knife that will amaze you with its versatility. Knife and Sheath Only. The stainless Sandvik blade has a semi-matte finish. The spine of the blade is squared off for use with a fire starter (ferro rod). The handle is rubberized with a checkered hard plastic insert. It's symmetrical to facilitate use of the knife with the edge either up or down. The handle is fairly stout in diameter, so it feels good in a variety of hand sizes. The knife locks firmly into the simple plastic sheath. It's intended to be carried in the pocket or pack. It doesn't come with any way to attach it to a belt or neck thong. Think of it as an extra stout pocket knife that doesn't fold.

Eldris

This is a great little knife with a compact but strong blade that is often more effective than a longer blade for a variety of tasks. I find this type of knife especially useful in construction work. The short stout handle is also more versatile with this type of blade than a standard handle would be.

Thanks for the review. They sure are a robust! The Eldris often gets overlooked because of its size but it sure handles any task thrown at it.

Great little knife

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this little knife, but after giving it a chance it turns out that it’s a lot tougher than it appears. It can really do some serious work! I wear it on my belt instead of around my neck and I hardly know it’s there till I need it. The size of the blade gives excellent control for more delicate cuts. The back is ground flat so it can be used as a fire starter. I tend not to start fires this way but I find myself using it to scrape off things like a bit of dried paint, dirt, etc…. Anyways, I really like it for its typical Mora quality and practicality when a larger knife would get it in the way. Also, Ragweed always handles orders as well as anyone could ask for, or better.
