Being the second Ron Skala Moose antler knife let me compare the two. The first one has a Helle blade, second one has a Lauri blade. The Helle version is a little bigger, heavier blade though both will get the job done. Personal preference leans to the Helle blade. As always, Redbeard /Ragweed Forge were five stars in service.

This is a very well made knife, and the one Redbeard picked out for me is stunning with no visual imperfections in blade or sheath. Given its size, it’s important to get your expectations in line with what Les Stroud and Anders Haglund were thinking when they designed it. It is a light, versatile knife that cuts and slices extremely well. It was never intended for heavy use- use a bigger knife for that. Spend some time with it, decided if the grip works for you, and if you keep it, make a few handle adjustments using fine sandpaper to customize the fit and increase comfort, then touch it up with boiled linseed oil. I carry this thing everywhere and use it all the time.

Title says it all. After first one I had a few questions. Redbeard contacted me directly every time. He sent comparison pics, and helped me pick out the next two knives.

They also threw in an old promo item I asked about that Reedbeard happened to have laying around. There is not a better place to but Norwegian knives than right here.

She gave me this knife blade for Christmas. I made a morel mushroom knife out of it . I used a piece of maple 🍁 for the handel and sheath. I gave it to her hoping for some mushrooms 🍄 lol 😆 🤣 😂 It was a lot of fun to make. It has a very nice blade a Lauri-58-mushroom-Stainless

I ordered 3 of the Lauri small knife blanks for some smaller elk antler pieces I had sitting around for some time. They are a great product you might expect to pay way more for then 7 bucks. I just ordered some more. They are described as a carving knife, I like it as a trout-bird or everyday carry. Excellent product, EXCELLENT company.
