Kauhavan Puukkopaja Birch Bark handle #75

This Kauhavan Puukkopaja is well suited for the average sized hand.  The tang goes through the handle and is peened over  on the pommel. The handle is made out of stacked birch bark layers with a Brass Bolster, and pommel for decoration.  The handle is quite comfortale in the hand. This item comes with a brown, genuine leather sheath with a dangler style belt loop that would fit up to a 2" belt. . It makes for a great lightweight tool carried on your belt.

Note From The Builder: The birch allows you to get a firm grip on the handle and it doesn't slip in your hand. Tuohik handle does not require special care. The handle is assembled from dozens of tufts, the end of the knife has a brass patch and a rivet that holds the handle together. The knife with that handle is simply beautiful, it is suitable as a utility knife and is also valued as a gift. The blade is wedge-shaped and therefore particularly good as a sculpture knife. Also suitable for handling small game
