I never thought I needed or wanted one of these knife hangers, until I tried it. Now I really like it. With the knife dangling it makes it much easier and more comfortable to sit or fasten a seatbelt etc. Quality is very high and works well with Scandi type sheaths. Also I like green. Thanks!

Good Fit

I have a custom knife with a blade that’s 9.5” long, the fit is a little snug but that’s has to do with the thickness that’s near the hilt/guard area. It’s hard finding a sheath to house a knife that big; JRE products are always high quality

Takes a Licking

I bought two of these 12-13 years ago from Ragweed when my son was in scouts. They are still used today by both of us and have taken much abuse over the years. I have batoned it many times and it is none the worse for wear and even used it with a piece of quartz to throw a spark on char cloth once.
I liked the handle so much I made a pattern for it to duplicate on my knife builds. I dont think there is a better value for a sub $15 knife.

Great knife- thinner than the typical stainless version!

It’s a little more rough around the edges than the stainless companions, but it’s also a tad thinner, which gives it a little better cutting performance. Nothing flashy or exciting, but it’s a highly functional and a fantastic knife to add to anyone’s arsenal.

The Mora Companion MG Carbon has a thinner blade which improves slicing and carving characteristics, and has proven to be adequate for any reasonable task. The handle is sized for average hands. The handle trim and sheath are military green. The knife and sheath weigh a bit under 4 ounces. This would make a nice all around knife for those who like the easy sharpening characteristics of carbon steel.
