Description
John Jacobson jumped into the knife making hobby over 5 years ago now, After looking at his first shipment of knives, I would have thought he has been doing it for a lifetime. We love the fact that many of the handle materials that he uses are sustainably harvested out of the Boreal forest in Northern Minnesota. This is where his name comes from. All of his knives that we have seen have a very clean fit/finish and are ready to be used by anyone.
This one started out with a polar hammered 77mm x 21mm blade. The handle is made out of Foraged Birch Bark and Fiber spacers. The Rat tail tang goes all the way through the handle and is peened over the pommel. The Bolster and pommel are hammered to give them a beautiful look
This barrel shaped handle made from birchbark is one of the more comfortable handles I have held in quite some time. He really outdid himself.
The Sheath is hand stitched and hand dyed and wet formed to fit the knife perfectly as any puukko should. Quite a nice piece!
