BOREAL Knives - Rhombic Puukko #18

John Jacobson jumped into the knife making hobby over 5 years ago now, After looking at his first shipment of knives, I would have thought he has been doing it for a lifetime. We love the fact that many of the handle materials that he uses are sustainably harvested out of the Boreal forest in Northern Minnesota. This is where his name comes from. All of his knives that we have seen have a very clean fit/finish and are ready to be used by anyone.

This one started out with our very own Laurin Metalli 126mm Rhombic Polished Carbon Steel blade! The handle is made out of a hand selected piece of curly birch, Moose antler, fiber spacers, and a Nickel Silver bolster/End Nut with the blade tang peened over very cleanly. Well made and clean look to it!

Another super comfortable knife that is nicely balanced just behind the bolster where your index finger would sit.

The Sheath is hand stitched and hand dyed and wet formed to fit the knife as any puukko should. Quite a nice piece!
