Just received another order of 5 Lauri Carving 105s. And, I recently delivered 5 antler handled knives to friends back east (Vermont) which sported the previous 5 I had ordered from the Forge. I was looking for a small fixed, full scandi grind blade. This looked to fit the bill and was a reasonable price for me. I am glad I pulled the trigger.

I have a couple jasper barber sized stones that I love and this compares well with those. I also like that if feels very close to the same as my Jade Viking stone. It seems to cut almost the same as the Jade after I prepped two sides with a 320 grit diamond stone. Very nice and looks wonderful.

Great for cutting Cheese, Sausage, Fish as in when I cleaning fish, or Line and twine when I am boating. the scabbard hangs nicely on my belt for easy access.

Love the look and feel of this blade blank. Always liked the look of the Roselli blades and finished knives. Looking forward to using this blade in a new knife and want to find a really nice mix of handle materials to do it justice. Like the clean edges of the spine from the laser cut. Much nicer than the shape left from a stamped blank.

Love this little blade. I have had one for my edc for years. Just purchased another blade to make something unique for someone else.

Really like the extra thickness of this blade. Gives it a rugged heft while still being nice handy length. Can't beat the quality for the price.

Redbeard & I discussed such a product several times before he had these made exclusively for Ragweed Forge. Before it, I used more general-purpose cases variously called "tool" & "utensil" rolls made of waxed canvas or combo WC & suede. This purpose-built knife roll is better because: 1. It's all leather, brown rugged water buffalo no less on exterior, black cow suede pockets inside. 2. They're attached together like hinges of hell w/ heavy nylon stitching & good-looking copper rivets. 3. While others fasten roll closed w/ fabric straps &/or leather strips you tie together, this 1 has a 2-rivet-attached proper metal belt-buckle closure & 28-in-long buffalo strap w/ 10 holes for adjustability. Simply punch more if not tight enough partially filled. 4. Unlike competitors', RF's feature pleated knife pockets--3 X-wide + 1 M-wide + 2 somewhat narrower = 6--that will fit much larger knife + sheaths, like my Roselli Hunter/Carpenter combo in double sheath & massive Peltonen M07 Ranger in its bulky "holster." 6. Not mentioned in description, but at far left when open, there's a 7th unpleated flat slot that will accept a relatively thin knife-sheath like my Helle Arv or some shroomers. 7. No other has leather patch emblazoned "Ragweed Forge!" Yes, $149.99 will buy you another puukko or 2, but how well will they endure w/out protection in a primo leather roll like Redbeard's?
