This is a beautiful chunk of wood. I made a handle for the Lauri little leuku blade I ordered. It’s fairly easy to work with. I’d compare to olive wood as far as hardness goes. It is a cedar so be prepared for a strong cedar odor with a fair amount of resin. It fills rasps and sandpaper quickly. There were also a few small voids that had been filled that required me to clean out and fill with dust and cva glue. Nothing bad though. All in all it’s a beautiful burl that made a beautiful handle. I would use this again if I wanted a project that stands out from the rest.
