Scout 39 Natural Birch Handle #13977 (New 2022)
The Mora 39 Scout with Natural Handle is designed for younger users. It's a classic design that has been in use for generations. The short blade on this Scout Model has a SHARP tip. The blade is stainless, so it's easy to care for. The double finger guard keeps younger hands from sliding down on the blade. The handle is sized for smaller hands. This item is supplied with a sturdy vegetable tanned leather sheath with a snap retainer.
The embossed coat of arms from Dalarna on the knife sheath is a well-preserved detail from the past.
Ever since they were first introduced in the 1930s, the characteristic Scout knives have been an obvious entry-level knife for children and a door opener for a richer outdoor life.
I had one of theses back in the 70s. it was the same size with a carbon blade.I did a lot of fishing and small game hunting this was my go too knife for cleaning any thing with fins or fur, dont let the small size fool you it works great at detail work on trout and birds the hand guard is a must for slimey bloody hands. i lost my old one years ago but now im looking forward to using this one.
Thank you for taking the time to review! Many can overlook these as per the name Scout but they sure make a handy tool for anyone. We appreciate your support
