Description
John Drewes has been a long time customer. Sending us photos of his custom knives every now and then, we have started to urge him to let us sell some. We often display his work on our Social Media Pages. After asking a number of time, he is ready to sell some of these beautiful pieces. Quite the creative craftsman with just beautiful hand finished work.
The blade is a triple laminate by K. J. Groven of Rapid City, S. D. It is 3 5/8 in. in length. The handle is Thuya burl with micarta, acrylic and fiber color accent pieces. Bolster is stone washed nickel-silver.
The sculpted hole in the handle is not intended for a lanyard, but rather, it is a design feature that is ergonomic and created an overall look for this knife that, to the makers eye, was very appealing.
The sheath is of half- tanned steer hide. It features complex compression shaping and multi-colored dying. There is no wood or plastic liner in this sheath. It is hand stitched in Norwegian style.
Just another beautiful hand crafted piece, We truly love his work.
