Description

John Drewes has been a long time customer. Sending us photos of his custom knives every now and then, we have started to urge him to let us sell some. We often display his work on our Social Media Pages. After asking a number of time, he is ready to sell some of these beautiful pieces. Quite the creative craftsman with just beautiful hand finished work.

The blade is a triple laminate of 1018 and 15N20 alloys and it has a Scandinavian grind.  The blade was forged by KJ Groven of Rapid City. S.D.  Blade is 3 inches in length, giving an overall knife length of 7 3/8 inches.

The knife has a bronze bolster and the handle is made of stabilized Minnesota birch burl and Kirinite acrylic that glows in the dark.  Black accents on handle are micarta.  A quick charge under a light source really sets this knife aglow!  A 3/16 in. brass rod running parallel to the tang secures the distal piece of Kirinite to the grip.  All assembled with epoxy.  But this knife was not designed for splitting wood with a baton or using as a pry-bar.   Use it for precision cutting.

The sheath is made of half-tanned steer hide and sewn Norwegian style.  There is no wooden liner inside the sheath.

Just a beautiful hand crafted piece, We truly love his work. Smooth and clean as always.
