Great knife from top notch seller!

Like all of the Moras, the Companion is a good quality knife at a fantastic price. The real story here is Ragweed Forge and their great service and communication. They are highly rated by the blade community for good reason.

This isn't a $300 custom, fancy, beautiful Damascus bladed knife. What it is is a great, efficient general purpose knife with a classic blade profile. It's sharp out of the box and the stainless blade will hold an edge very well. The blade is long enough (and strong enough) to handle most tasks easily. The handle, while plastic, retains it's grip, even when wet, is better than most knives (dozens) I've handled and used over a lifetime of camping, hunting and homesteading. I love the sheath as well. I bought five of these because it's hard to beat as a general purpose camp or hunting knife. It would be worth it at three - five times the price and I plan on buying more for future present gifts. I'd say the only thing missing on the sheath is a place to hold a sharpening stone but you won't really need one for a normal trip.

It was just as pictured. The cross was very well made and looks like it will last generations. Bridgit was one of the patron saints of blacksmiths. As a knife maker, that appeals to me. I shall enjoy it lots until I am old and full of years and leave this world. Thanks for offering this! Paul

Fabulous knife - absolutely excellent in every way. The handle grain is fantastic, good steel and sheath, and the workmanship is outa sight. Jesse knows his stuff and strives for perfection. Plus there is the great customer support from Redbeard and his team at Ragweed. A slam dunk!

This is my favorite of the wood jewel knives. I like the solid wood handle. Im not a fan of the shape of the antler pommel but this wood handle is perfect. I also love the short wide blade. Super comfy handle and extra sharp blade. Great knife.

I'm quite smitten with this inexpensive little knife. It ticks all the boxes for the perfect companion/neck knife IMHO. It sports a 3.5 inch 2.5mm carbon blade with a highish grind and a plain plastic handle with a light texture and an unobtrusive but functional guard. It's the perfect companion knife to my larger Terava knives and the slightly thicker blade stock (compared to similar Mora offerings) allows it to stretch into the role of a primary knife. This knife has similarities to other Nordic style knives like the Mora 510/511, the Marttiini Condor Timberjack and the Marttiini Black Lumberjack but I think that this knife is better suited to my needs than other similar knives in my outdoor blade arsenal. The sheath is a little different than what I'm used to but it's growing on me. I found that it fit like a glove into an old Buck 119 leather sheath with a couple of simple mods and it also fit into a Barsony leather sheath I had bought off of Amazon for my Mora 511s. Redbeard sells a couple of different sheaths that fit as well. The ones I got (I bought four total) had a slightly damaged tip from the factory, but it proved to be a non- issue as the tip problem was remedied after squaring the spine with a file for use with a ferro rod and scraping bark/tinder. If Redbeard reads this, I hope that he can talk Mr. Lauri into producing a similar knife with a 2.5 inch Lauri carving blade. If they did that and offered it close to the same price as this knife, I would buy ten of them. I've been waiting for the price of the Peltonen Ranger cub to come down for over a year now, but it seems as though it's going to stay around the same price as the Larger Peltonen knives for the foreseeable future. If Lauri made a simpler, more reasonably priced, budget version, I bet it would sell like hotcakes.

It’s a pricey knife, but the fit and finish on mine makes it worth every penny. This is my first Norwegian knife that’s full tang and the only Helle that I own. I saw/read reviews about QC issues that made me concerned/cautious about purchasing, but Ragweed Forge always comes through with quality products. Thank you!

This was my first time doing a hidden tang knife handle. I wanted to use curly maple and iron nitrate. I made a few mistakes with the heat gun but the wood itself was beautiful. Great amount of curl and perfect size for a knife handle. Will definitely order more for another project
