The craft classic – the perfect basic knife
With its short, narrow and pointed blade, the Slöjdkniv 120 (LC) is specially designed for finer carving and detail work. The 2.7 mm thick blade is made of laminated carbon steel, which is tough and can therefore withstand repeated side bending. It has a spool-shaped handle in Scandinavian birch and a full tang that provides both strength and stability. A perfect basic knife for beginners and experienced craftsmen.
Shorter blade for finer carving
The 120 (LC) craft knife has a shorter blade of 62 mm with a narrow and pointed shape, excellent for finer carving where you want to make precise cuts. The knife has a coil-shaped birch handle that lies comfortably in the hand during long use and that you can adjust for the best fit. The full tang that runs through the knife provides good stability and control.
Laminated carbon steel that can withstand lateral bending
The Slöjdkniv 120 (LC) has a 2.7 mm thick blade made of French laminated carbon steel (100CR6), where the core consists of carbon steel surrounded by softer steel. This gives the knife high edge retention and a toughness that can withstand lateral bending when carving. After heat treatment in our knife factory in Mora, the blade reaches a hardness of 58.5 HRC. The blade has a polished surface that protects against rust. To extend the life of the blade, wipe and oil the blade after use. The knife is made in our knife factory in Mora with over 130 years of craftsmanship tradition.
