John Myshkoff has a passion for not just making usable puukkos but they must be as attractive as they are ready for work.
This knife was based around a 105mm Lauri Carbon Steel. Re-profiled and shortened to 100mm x 20mm x 3.2mm width. As you will notice, the Carbon blade was polished to remove all of the heat treat color and give it a much cleaner look.
The Handle was made out of Cocobolo with Ebony spacers
The Fittings were handmade, the Front is 4mm of German Silver with a peened surface treatment and the Rear is the same German silver tapered and Rounded
The sheath is a black traditional puukko back sewn style with a brass ring that secures the tapered Dangler which is fastened with a brass Chicago Screw post. There is simple line decoration on the sheath.
The knife and sheath are formed perfectly to fit one another. The knife is not just Elegant but made for use! Anyone I know would love one of these in their collection, hopefully there will be more to come quite soon.
