New Mountain Knives - Black Locust #3

I can now carry in a two ounce package a tool that replaces both a sharpening stone AND a file. Handy addition to my kit.

I"m not a very experienced carver, but I learn each time I do a project. I have two Flexcut knives, a v-tool and a small round gouge. I wanted something with a longer blade and the curve on the cutting edge, mostly for rough cutting. This knife is all I wanted and more. It has quickly become my favorite knife. Rough cuts are easy and I find that I don't put it down when the detail work starts. Very sharp. The blade is thicker than I was expecting, but it doesn't seem to matter. Thanks for selling a great product!

I bought a couple of these to try out. They arrived fast and were packed well.
The lens is just the right size. Small enough to be handy to carry, strong enough to read print smaller than my bifocals allow. They are handy for reading creek names and other small print on maps. I also used them to start a solar fire and it worked well for that.

I received the 105 Carbon Steel blade and am quite happy with it. Good carbon steel, as you surely know, takes a fine edge and this one has the "feel" of one that will make a knife sharp enough to give Steven King bad dreams. Thanks, Glen Hargrove

I was expecting some cheaply made product. I instead got a great tool that looks great and is very functional. Iam going to start wearing mine because it looks like a great necklace and conversational piece. Iam definitely going to be ordering a few more for family and friends. I just would like to see a better cord other then what it came with and paracord. I would like leather that can be functional as a strop. But thats a minor thing i can always add one.

I was looking for a small fixed, full scandi grind blade. This looked to fit the bill and was a reasonable price for me. I am glad I pulled the trigger.

I have a couple jasper barber sized stones that I love and this compares well with those. I also like that if feels very close to the same as my Jade Viking stone. It seems to cut almost the same as the Jade after I prepped two sides with a 320 grit diamond stone. Very nice and looks wonderful.
