Very solid laminated carbon steel blade with forge scale. This was from a few years ago when the blade was offered as “Tollekniv” - great for woodworking. Handle on this one is walnut with Axis Deer antler bolster and leather spacer. Thanks, Ragweed Forge!

This knife is nothing short of perfection, in choice of blade, choice of wood and craftmanship. Every seam is smooth. Great hand feel and aesthetics. Jesse is a master knifemaker. I own other JL knives and this won't be the last.

I am very impressed by this knife and Ragweed Forge. At first I ordered an Ahti Metsa, a slightly longer knife, from another distributor. It felt really great in the hand, but the fit and finish left something to be desired with the model I got. It would take a lot of work to make it acceptable to me, personally.

I then ordered a Kauhavan Puukkopaja 106 direct from Finland. The fit and finish was very good, but the handle just wasn’t as comfortable as the Ahti, and I was starting to see the longer blade as a bit of a hindrance for my purposes of small game hunting and woodworking.

I ordered the Korpi from here, third time being the charm. Indeed it was. The blade length was exactly what I was looking for and Ahti’s fit and finish on this model was absolutely spot on. No gap between the brass bolster and wood handle, the grinds on the blades are perfect, and needless to say it came razor sharp. The handle is narrower than the Metsa, but what I found happens is that the handle burrows into the crevices of your knuckles when held, making for an extraordinarily controllable and secure hold. Ahti knew what they were doing with this knife.

A LOT of people point out microbevels on these Laurin blades and try to work them out so that the knife has a “zero” edge, meaning the primary bevel is the only bevel on the knife. THERE IS A REASON SCANDI KNIFEMAKERS LEAVE A MICROBEVEL. If you try to work this bevel out, the primary grind will be too narrow and fragile, and will inevitably roll or chip if you work on anything harder than meat or softwood.
You see this time and time again on reviews and people blame the knife. They should only blame themselves. A microbevel is not a bad thing at all on these knives and only adds strength and performance without sacrificing anything.

Mild diatribe aside, this is a wonderful knife. I’m very happy I chose this model because survival experts say that an ideal knife blade is supposed to be as long as your four knuckles on your hand, and for my hands the Korpi is dead-on, while having a nice comfortable controllable handle with which to wield it. The smooth transition from handle to blade is exceptional on this model and exactly what you want when looking for a working knife.

If you’d like a solid, time proven knife design that’s not only capable but stellar at all fine duties a knife should do, I highly recommend the Ahti Korpi.

Good quality packaging

I was happy to find these knives - I previously had these from my dad and lost them in a fire. They last forever and will hold an edge like no other. Dad always said - you will cut yourself quicker with a dull knife than with a sharp one! These can be sharpened easily and hold the edge beautifully.

Absolutely beautiful knife. Finish is perfect. Nice shape and balance, feels great in the hand. I personally love the brilliant blue color. Sheath has that buttery-smooth texture.

Quick shipping, great packaging , and good price. I especially love the Mora 105 handle, a bit more security to keep fingers out of the sharp zone! No sheath but that's why I learned how to do basic leather craft!

This knife is as good a puukko knife as one can get. The epitome of knife making. The blade is awesome, beautiful Damascus patten, the wood is nice, and the size is perfect. The sheath is one of the best I've seen. A really fantastic knife. Warren Thacker really nailed this one.

For years I have bought the annual commemorative 511/546 combo. I typically give the 511 away and keep the 546. The other day the lucky recipient of the blue/Dala Red 511 was explaining to me how carbon steel is easier to sharpen and will hold an edge longer than stainless. I just smiled, as he clearly has never owned a Mora stainless! This blue and red knife was perfect for him, in part because his nickname is Red! LOL Yet he is also a retired vehicle mechanic, and has many, many tools, and had never heard of Mora knives until I introduced him to them. He marveled at the quality, the functionality, and the price. He also appreciated the high visibility of the color. When I shared the high quality customer service from Ragweed Forge, he basically said, "doesn't get any better than high quality and excellent customer service!" I readily agreed. Ragweed Forge exclusive => Must have! I really don't know how many 511/546 Mora Utility knives I have bought. One in each tool bag, in drawers in the house, in my car, I've given many as gifts. Almost all have come from Ragweed Forge (I bought a few before I found Mora Mecca!)

This one is a treasure! It is a perfect example of Mora 511 simplicity, quality, and functionality. I even marvel at the sheaths, and how the little retention ****/dimple system is so clever. Beyond the renowned steel, Scandi grind, blade sharpness and durability, the attention to detail and functionality are impeccable. What a perfect depiction of service (a hallmark of Ragweed Forge) with the frosty tang sleeve encased in Dala Red. Anyone who appreciates tools, and respects quality, will hold this knife with reverence. 👍🙏

This was my forsr purchase from Ragweed and it probably wont be my last. Great craftmanship and quality!
