Description
John Jacobson jumped into the knife making hobby over 5 years ago now, After looking at his first shipment of knives, I would have thought he has been doing it for a lifetime. We love the fact that many of the handle materials that he uses are sustainably harvested out of the Boreal forest in Northern Minnesota. This is where his name comes from. All of his knives that we have seen have a very clean fit/finish and are ready to be used by anyone.
This one started out with the well known Lauri Fillet 220mm blade that is Stainless Steel and just about 8 3/4" long. The handle is made out of Birdseye maple, Birch Bark Spacers with a High polished Brass Bolster and Pommel. The rat tail tang goes all the way through the handle and is peened over at the pommel. CLEAN WORK!
The Sheath is hand stitched and hand dyed and wet formed to fit the knife perfectly as any puukko should. Looks great, Very Comfortable and user friendly.
