Capps Knives - Puukko 2

Rec'd Capps Knives Puukko 2 only yesterday, but already used enough in kitchen & around house & yard to say I like a lot & to assess. Of his 1st 4 Capps, Redbeard loves #3, but I was not up for its $400, so paid half that for #2. Excellent L 80mm (~3 1/8") × W ~7/8" × THK ~1/8" BLADE is authentic Old Country stainless steel Lauren Metalli Carving having gentle drop to rhombic point & straight spine. My preferred all-natural-materials quite ergonomic semi-birdhead HANDLE measures L ~4 1/4" at shortest point × Circumference ~3 5\8" at widest, making it fit most hands. Bottom portion is med.-brown nicely-mottled smooth-but-sufficiently-grippy white oak. Above, brass guard with nicks & unsightly stains & brass spacer bracket maple insert having appealing swirls & orange cast. The small perfectly-filled hole RB mentions there is fine, but the 5×-bigger shiny spot 1.5" away on reverse side of white oak handle is not. Can't see the forest for the trees? Med.-brown vege-tanned smooth leather SHEATH is my preferred rear-seam dangler attached with triangular "ring" allowing little side-to-side but plenty back-&-forth movement just as I like. Good-looking copper rivet cinches it to belt loop accomodating up to 2.5-in-wide waist belt. Internal plastic lasta protects leather from super-sharp/pointed SS Lauren. Overall, this Capps #2 reminds me of a more compact North Wolf, though not as pristine. Worth $199.99.
