Belt Clip Pricey, But Works & Should Last

With a rediculous 41 puukkos now, I got one of these in each leather-portion color--black, brown, & green. Some sheaths are too high or tight, & I strongly prefer my puukkos when in scabbard to dangle freely well below belt in the Finnish tradition. These accomplish that. The thoughtful design allows the sheath to shift both back-&-forth & side-to-side, but missing is a cross-shaped slot cut in rear of leather belt loop for those who prefer to attach to a button. Offered by Helle, even its own puukko sheaths vary considerably in "danglebility," & these will fit most of them & many other brands, too. I knew I recognized the carabiner style--a sturdy stainless steel loop with strong spring-actuated closure--from somewhere, then when I got them realized I have a very similar one holding spare keys, the metal part likely made by same manufacturer. Heavy with far too many keys on it, it's nevertheless lasted for many years, so I expect these Belt Clips to be just as durable. Main complaint, Helle:
Instead of "Belt Clip," why not just call them a "Dangler?"

Well now, Helle has a solution for you – the all new Helle Belt clip takes care of all these issues! It consists of a leather loop with a wire gate carabiner that you can slide onto your belt. The wire gate carabiner lets you take your Helle (or any other knife sheath) knife sheath on and off your belt hassle free. The belt loop and clip allow your knife (or any other items you wish to clip in) to hang more freely, dangling while you walk. And the increased flexibility also provides better comfort when you sit or crouch.

The leather component of the Helle Belt Clip is made from the same type of vegetable tanned, genuine leather that our sheaths are made of, and currently come in the standard colors of black and brown. In addition, we will also make a limited volume of Clips in the Helle color – green – this year only.

The wire gate carabiner is made from stainless steel and features the Helle logo on one side. We designed it this way to be strong yet lightweight. The wire gate is recognized as a strong, safe and long-lasting alternative to the classical carabiner.
