Description
Jesse Lerman has been buying our blades for some time now and as soon as we started seeing pictures of his work, We immediately knew we had to offer them for the world to see. Jesse sure is a master at his craft. These puukko's are traditional, great users, and absolutely beautiful.
We were so happy to get a third batch of his work in to offer to everyone! The Last batch sold out quite quickly.
This knife started as a Lauri Carving 125mm Stainless Steel Polar blade made in Finland. The handle is quite elegant, made of Stabilized Birch burl. The Burl has some amazing figure.
The birds head puukko is a masterpiece and so comfortable but I have to write as we discounted the knife due solely because of the butt end where the blade is peened. In the forming process, the butt end moved a little bit and does not sit perfectly flush. He still managed to finish it off quite nicely but we decided to discount it as it was not up to Jesse's standards
The ferrule is Brass.
Total length of knife: 9 1/2in
The Sheath is brown veg-tanned leather, hand sewn, hand stitched, with a brass D-ring holding on a nice dangler. The Puukko fits about perfectly into the sheath to be sure it will not come out by accident.
Quite the piece of art that is made to be used and admired.
