Description
John Lisack has been a customer for quite some time now. He started sharing pictures of his work and here we are! These are simple knives but he really takes the time to match the blade to the handle for a comfortable fit!
This one started with the well-known Lauri Carving 95mm High Carbon Blade made in Finland! This one really took some patience and creativity with these angles. The seams are so smooth you can not even tell they are there. The front and back are made from Redheart wood with Spalted Tamarind in the middle. Brass Bolster and End Cap.
Spalted Tamarind wood comes from a fruit tree found in Southeast Asia. It is subject to fungi, insects and decay, making it imperfect but showing off some awesome character. This piece has a void in the top of the handle that you can see in the pictures. It really gives this piece some Character and I do not believe it will affect strength.
The Brown leather sheath is quite soft and takes over 3/4 of the entire knife for a sure fit.
