Description
These Kauhavan Puukkopaja Wilderness Knife stands out with their well finished, beautiful handles. The little leuku blade is made of high carbon steel. The handle is made out of stained curly birch, Reindeer antler, fiber spacers and a brass bolster. The tang of the knife goes through the handle and is visibly peened at the pommel. The Brown Leather Sheath comes with a dangler style belt loop that would fit up to a 2" belt. This knife would be great for any hunter, especially those who prefer the larger blades like this.
Note From The Maker: A knife designed for handling game, such as deer and for wilderness hiking, has a solid handle and a quite wide blade. The tang rivet in the Sami knife handle is outside the upper ferrule, so the insert definitely stays in place. In addition to the rivet, two-part epoxy adhesive on the tang is used to join the handle and blade. The hand molded, sturdy handle is especially good, also for a big hand. (Note from the maker)
