Good Carver

I really like this knife. I was reluctant to try a blade this long, and bought the 120 first. I now realize that the 106 pares through wood more quickly with less hand fatigue. Also, the pointier tip reaches those deep recesses for detail work. I use both, but if you only want one, go with the 106.

A great carver

I make puukko and Nordic style knives and all my handles are carved with the 106.
Cocobolo, curly birch, English walnut, black ash burl, iron wood, is there a wood this 106 can't slice through? If there is I haven't come across one. This carver will take a razor sharp zero edge and hold it through the task at hand. I also use a 120 laminate and non laminate for carving and leather work. They do it all...well.
