New Mountain Knives - Box Elder / Reindeer antler #9

Everything came together just great with this knife. The blade is short but feels fantastic, the handle is so attractive with the African Ebony and Buckeye burl combination, and finally the sheath is one of the nicest I've seen. Hat's off to Jesse for this work of art.

Striking gray full grip handle with a beautiful spacer accent and a truly gorgeous brass finger guard. Nicely balanced and with a comfortable and secure grip. Looking at it, you'd expect it to be a bit heavy, but it isn't at all. Sharp as can be on arrival. Edge holding, I'm not sure yet. Haven't had to sharpen it. Very unique looking. Beautiful secure sheath.

This little guy seems expensive when you compare it to its equally-priced and larger counterparts, but if you're looking for a carving/whittling/precision knife for the field, this is your blade. I've never felt a more comfortable or capable knife for fine work, which is thanks in large part to the rubberized, chunky handle that fits perfectly in the hand.

I've had this knife for a few months now, and I reach for it every time fine details need carving.

This is one really cool knife! The forged, twisted Damascus is awesome, one of a kind. The Brazilian Rosewood handle is fantastic, beautiful grain and good grip feel, and finally the sheath is real quality. Also, super service by Redbeard and his team.

Red was helpful as usual answering my questions. Knife is good size and sturdy. I was going to put canary scales on it. Saw John Capps jute wrapped YouTube and threw some on. Fits Ragweed forge #2 perfect.

Beautiful old fashioned style blade

Let's be honest: Morakniven are excellent & affordable Swedish stainless steel cutters, but most come w/ chintzy molded-plastic, shocking-color sheaths--main reason I rarely carry them outside home. This sturdy, nicely-tanned medium-brown side-seam leather sheath by Ragweed Forge solves that issue for only $18.00. Subtract Redbeard's 20% promotional discount, add $6 shipping, & you have a $20.40 bargain I could not refuse. Fits my cork-handled Floater perfectly & needs no internal lasta because tightness at top keeps tip at bottom centered, posing little cut-thru threat. Hard leather strip inserted between seam sides prevents blade from slicing nylon stitching, too. Belt loop folded back & attached w/ rivet accomodates up to 2.5-in-width waist belt. This style rides too high for me, so clipped on Helle dangler that just barely fits. Just discovered same sheath fits my slightly longer-bladed Morakniv Spark, though not as tight yet seats deeper, as its guard is smaller. Wish RB would offer similar leather sheath fitting my 3rd Morakniv, the 6-in flexible-blade fish/filet knife that comes in a cheapo black plastic skeletonized sheath.

I ordered this thinking a tee shirt is a tee shirt. Got it for the logo. But I was pleasantly surprised at how soft and comfortable the shirt is.

Love the handle texture also came in sharp!
