Description
Small yet compact, the Ranger Cub is an excellent EDC knife
We finally got our hands on some Orange Handles. This one has an orange handle and Orange Kydex Sheath. GREAT COMBO
Peltonen Knives is especially known for the Ranger puukko, favored by conscripts and wilderness enthusiasts. The M23 Ranger Cub, a smaller but more compact and agile addition to the product line, is the latest arrival. While previous Ranger models are often seen as survival knives, the M23 is handy for more precise tasks such as carving, whittling, and various everyday activities and challenges encountered by hikers or fishermen in the wilderness.
The Ranger Cub M23 knife features a 6.5-centimeter carbon steel blade, with its edge induction-hardened to 62 HRC. Remember that carbon steel always requires some care. Therefore, keep the blade clean and wash and dry it after each use. Occasionally, a little oil can also be applied to the blade. With proper care, corrosion is kept at bay and the blade remains untarnished.
The handle material is TPV, thermoplastic vulcanizate, a type of rubber-like plastic material that withstands wear, impacts, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations almost indefinitely. The secure grip remains firm even in wet conditions.
With the Kydex sheath, the knife can be easily carried as a neck knife or horizontally on the belt.
Peltonen Knives M23 Ranger Cub is a knife that is much larger than its size suggests. It is an excellent EDC (Everyday Carry) knife for all kinds of outdoor hobbies and general tasks where you need a proper and, above all, safe knife.
