Perfect knife for a young forest dweller

Our family all carry Metsa or Wood Jewel knives, and this little knife will fit perfectly in our 6-year old granddaughter's hand, Now, she can begin to learn the skills required to successfully navigate our forests. Beautifully well made, and perfect for a small person.

This knife has a perfect grip and detail that makes it a very nice knife for me. Very versatile, easy to carry around with wonderful fit to the sheath !

Description

This Kauhavan Puukkopaja is a small knife as the title states. This knife is shaped quite nicely for a smaller working tool. The blade is made of high carbon steel. The tang goes through the handle and is peened over on the pommel. The handle is made out of stained curly birch with a brass ferrule. The Brown Leather Sheath fits this one like a glove.

A small but versatile knife which is suitable for gutting vendace, as a pipe knife and as an ear marking knife. Easy to carry because of its small size. Traditional model. The handle is treated with linseed oil, and it does not slip in the hand.
