This double sided stick is super light and ready for work. The sharpening surfaces are approximately 4 in by 1/2 inch. The fine diamond plate would be great for any last minute touching up needs. The stick is only 5" when packed away and with a quarter turn, you can pull the diamond stick out and attach again with a quarter turn. The stick will then be just over 9in. Quite a comfortable length to carry and work with. This will be quite a nice add on to any pack, In any tackle box or just to keep in the truck
