Description
John Jacobson jumped into the knife making hobby over 5 years ago now, After looking at his first shipment of knives, I would have thought he has been doing it for a lifetime. We love the fact that many of the handle materials that he uses are sustainably harvested out of the Boreal forest in Northern Minnesota. This is where his name comes from. All of his knives that we have seen have a very clean fit/finish and are ready to be used by anyone.
This one started out with the Nordic Edge 440b Stainless Steel from Sweden and just over 3" long. The handle is made out of Spruce Burl and Birch Bark Spacers with a moose antler ferrule. This one has a Sapele wood pommel and Natural Bristle brush.
The Sheath is hand stitched and hand dyed and wet formed to fit the knife perfectly as any puukko should. The sheath is designed to be worn as a neck knife using the included Paracord.
Note** This sheath was made to have the knife inserted into the sheath with the cutting edge away from the stitching...*spine towards stitching. (you will notice it fits much better this way and protects the stitching.
Quite a neat, well put together piece
