John Lisack Custom #8 Neck Knife/Belt Knife

Maybe not the perfect size, but is perfect for my project. Will happily buy again.

The cork handle is comfortable and great to work with when your hands are cold and wet. The blade was almost shaving sharp. It was my son’s prized birthday present.

This knife is everything one could ask for in an EDC knife, excellent steel, super sharp and a handle that fits my hand securely. The wood is fantastic, as is the sheath. Plus, the excellent Ragweed Forge customer service. I got the knife super-fast. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Works great not only for a sheath, but to attach a folding knife in your pocket when it has no clip. I wanted a Helle Bleja, but was afraid of drilling into the scales to place a clip on it in the right spot. Talked to Ragweed and I came up with this option: to put the clip through the lanyard hole, and can still keep the knife in my front pocket.

I've been looking for a small bowie blade with a high quality steel for my personal knife. This is a great size for daily carry in the field.

I used leftover bits and pieces - African blackwood, cocobolo, some brass I had on hand. Very pleased with this blade and always pleased with Ragweed.

The Helle Wabakimi is a great knife. I like the size of the knife and it is perfect for much of basic camp work. So, the knife is great, but the reason I keep coming back to Ragweed Forge is the owner, Redbeard. He is great to work with. Unlike many businesses, you can absolutely count on Redbeard handling your questions and orders with respect and efficiency. Totally pleased with the quality of the Wabakimi and the service from Redbeard.

Ballistol is fantastic as a cleaner and lubricant for metal, wood, leather, etc.! I use it all the time and appreciate its Imperial German army origins and standards of quality. A game changer workroom must!

It fits that this ranger puukko was designed by a Finnish Defense Forces Captain, for everything about it veritably screams "military:" Having requisite lanyard hole & weighing nearly half a pound with super-thick 4.5-mm, 4 1/3-in long, 1 1/16-in wide full-tang Rockwell 59-60 14C28N-steel blade, this is the knife you'd take into battle. Should you need to whack off, say, a right toe of each enemy to prove the kills, no prob--the "saber" grind I still call "scandi" starts a bit closer to spine & gently angles to ultra-sharp edge to make such a flesh-&-bone cut fairly easy. Yet this sussipuukko is beautiful, too, its curly birch handle nice & gnarly, attached with 2 substantial steel rivets, & at almost 5 in long & 3 3/4 circumference, big enough to fit the largest hands. But even a small hand can easily & safely grip it, as the pommel-end is bird-head & the edge-side top half swoops 1st inward then outward to protect index finger from blade. Just above, the scales angle slightly down from spine to edge so that the ricasso is exposed only on edge side, making it easy to sharpen. The rivet-reinforced side-seam leather sheath, while not of traditional Sami design, is a true dangler, this one's extra benefit being an adjustable Velcro belt loop. Inside, there's a rubber keeper like those on some Kydex pistol holsters that ensure even parachute-troops won't jostle knife loose. Next time you find yourself at war, be sure to take this knife. It's certainly up to the task.
